THE RESPONSE TO HELISKIING IN CANADA – The Val Formazza is one of the heliski jewels in the Alps. The area in Piedmont, Italy, is located close to the Swiss border between Goms in the canton of Valais and the Val Bedretto in the canton of Ticino. Everybody, who already has been here knows that you don’t have to travel around the world to get a nice ski and snowboard experience. The Val Formazza offers flight conditions, in which we individually can pick landing places and runs. That gives us a maximum of flexibility. Heliskiing in the Italian Val Formazza – that means endless possibilities for runs in all exposures and plenty of powder.
Thanks to the weather devide between the northern and southern Alps and a height from over 1800m, best snow conditions exist already early in the winter. Rich snowfalls as well as southern and northern accumulations transform the region repeatedly into a real powder paradise. Therefore, the vallay offers first-class snow conditions throughout the wohle season.
Not to forget the culinary side of this valley, which leaves nothing to be desired. Traditional dishes are waiting to be discovered! With the Walser Stuber we have a suitable, original accommodation to experience heliskiing at its best.
