Monte Rosa Ski with the villages of Champoluc, Gressoney and Alagna is one of the 5 largest ski resorts in Italy. Alagna with 1220m of altitude is the lowest point of the region and the Punta Indren with 3275m the highest point. The difference in altitude between the valley and the mountain is maximum 2055m, which represents a value above average. Thanks to this, Monterosa Ski is one of the snowiest ski resorts in Italy.
With 180 km of piste, 27 lifts and around 66 runs, it is one of the 10 largest ski resorts in Italy. Plans for the future include a connection with Cervinia and Zermatt, making it one of the largest ski resorts in the world.
In summer, the lifts also offer mountain bike transport and open access to beautiful mountain bike trails in Gressoney, Champoluc and Alagna. Punta Indren is the “starting point” for high-level excursions and at the same time offers the shortest access to the Margherita Hut (3647m) and the Mantova Hut (3498m). Both cabins are used as a base for most ascents in the Monte Rosa. The lifts also provide access to the region’s various trekking and hiking trails.
